Jamestown 2007 Commemorative Stamp

The Jamestown 2007 stamp was rated as best-designed commemorative issue, most important commemorative stamp and favorite postage stamp of 2007 by stamp enthusiasts and collectors.

The triangular stamp honors the 400th anniversary of America's first permanent English settlement. The Jamestown Commemorative Stamp was unveiled during America's Anniversary Weekend.

The design for the commemorative cachet was part of an education contest and one of the special projects created in a partneship between Jamestown 2007, the Virginia Department of Education and the Williamsburg Stamp Society to educate students about stamp collecting and Jamestown's history.

Congratulations to the Winners of the JAMESTOWN 400TH COMMEMORATIVE POSTAL CACHET CONTEST!
